ABOUT US

WHY DO EXOTIC PETS NEED A DIFFERENT TREATMENT?

Traditional veterinary training usually doesn't prepare future vets properly for the right treatment of these "unusual pets" and many of them don't know that they can cause harm by using the same treatments they use for cats and dogs.

The treatment of exotic animals requires special knowledge, which can be mastered by continuous studying, learning from more experienced vets and by exchanging knowledge with other exotic vets abroad.

In Exo-Pet Veterinary Center our colleagues continuously train themselves so your pet can receive the best treatment.

RABBIT FRIENDLY VET

Our Practice is the first in Hungary to earn the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund's Silver grade Rabbit Friendly Vet status. We are proud, that we are able to meet the strict international standards and provide our rabbit patients with an environment that is as friendly and stress free as possible.

Most exotic pets are the masters of hiding symptoms. The reason behind this is, that most of these animals would be prey in nature, so hiding symptoms play an important part in their survival.

Regular veterinary examinations are essential for discovering hidden symptoms.

International literature calls these health check-ups “wellness visits”, as they are not a result of the owners noticing any symptoms or illnesses. This fitting name refers to providing good general welfare for pets, which is the duty of every animal owner.

Our job is to provide this service with the newest information and screening methods available.

In Exo-Pet we put a big emphasis on prevention. We advise you, that you visit us with every new pet you get. Aside general examination, our colleagues will provide you with information about proper husbandry and nutrition for your pet, and what veterinary services and screenings are advised for that species.
