VACCINATION

VACCINATION

It is advised to vaccinate ferrets against distemper and rabies. We give the first distemper vaccine at 8-10 weeks and it needs to be repeated once or twice with three weeks difference, depending on the time of the first vaccination. After these it is advised to give the rabies vaccine. This far it isn’t scientifically proven how long exactly these vaccines are able to protect ferrets, so we recommend vaccinating them yearly, which is proven to be effective and safe.
